Statement on the Arrest of Black Journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort

Morrison Media Group condemns today’s arrests of Black journalists Don Lemon & Georgia Fort, who were engaged in lawful newsgathering. Arresting journalists for doing their jobs is unacceptable and poses a serious threat to press freedom. As Morrison Media Group represents, consults with, and collaborates alongside independent journalists, creators, and storytellers, we join the many press associations, unions, and advocates speaking out against clear violations of First Amendment rights, and stand in solidarity with Don, Georgia, and all journalists being prosecuted for reporting truth to the American people.
